Something was found.
The phone rang like it had something to say. Unknown number. I answered with the usual expectation of news that my account had been hacked. Instead, I got a voice that cleared its throat.
They found something they said. A mass snuggled in the soft matter of my brain, fits like peas and carrots. Part of the furniture.
The voice rambles the technicality of it. I scribbled it down like naming a suspect. DNET.
They said don’t worry, It’s likely benign. It’s rare. It’s slow growing.
Like they are doing me some favour; or providing reassurance to themselves.
My mind keeping secrets. Even from me. An unwanted tenant staking in the crevices. Sharpening its knife, binding it’s time for a total invasion.
I am not surprised. I was informed; I was corrected.
The body is not a sacred place after all.
I let it stay. For now.
Until I formulate my plan.
